ATP Algebra
We are currently working on chapter 2 in the Algebra 2 book which is the study of linear equations and functions. This includes representing relations and functions as well as finding slope and rate of change. We will also study absolute value functions and linear inequalities.
Algebra
We are beginning chapter 8 which is the study of factoring and quadratic equations. This includes finding the greatest common factor of a monomial. We will then factor polynomials using the distributive property and FOIL. This type of factoring will be used to solve quadratic equations.
Algebra 2
Algebra 2 students will complete their study of higher-degree functions and will also learn about arithmetic and geometric sequences and series. They will then prepare for their year-end final examination. Great job this year, math students!

ATP Algebra
We are now working in the Algebra 2 book. Chapter 1 reviews topics related to equations and inequalities. This includes: properties of real numbers, evaluating and solving linear equations and inequalities, rewriting formulas, and solving absolute values equations & inequalities.
Algebra
We are currently working on Chapter 7 which is the study of polynomials. This includes: multiplying and dividing monomials and scientific notation. We will also define what a polynomial is as well as perform the operations of adding, subtracting, and multiplying polynomials.
Algebra 2
Students are preparing for their spring high school entrance examination, and are working to master the algebra of conic sections.

MARCH
ATP Algebra - We are on the study of rational equations and functions. This includes inverse variation and graphing rational functions as well as adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing rational expressions. We will also solve rational equations.
Algebra - Chapter 6 is the study of systems of linear equations and inequalities. This includes solving a system using the methods of graphing, adding and subtracting, substitution and elimination. We will also graph systems of linear inequalities.
Algebra 2
Students have completed their study of rational algebraic functions and will now begin a unit on irrational functions, including radical equations, variation functions and real-world applications.

ATP Algebra - We are finishing a chapter on probability and statistics. The next chapter is the study of rational equations and functions. This includes inverse variation and graphing rational functions as well as adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing rational expressions. We will also solve rational equations.
Algebra - We have just finished Chapter 5: Linear Inequalities. Chapter 6 is the study of systems of linear equations and inequalities. This includes solving a system using the methods of graphing, adding and subtracting, substitution and elimination. We will also graph
systems of linear inequalities.
Algebra 2
The students have successfully completed their first semester final examination! They are now learning about rational algebraic functions and factoring methods for higher-degree functions including the Factor Theorem and synthetic division.

JANUARY
ATP Algebra - We will soon begin chapter 12 which is the study of rational equations and functions. In this chapter, students model inverse variation by writing and graphing inverse variation equations. Students graph rational equations and compare them to the parent function. They also simplify rational expressions as well as multiply, divide, add, and subtract rational expressions.
Algebra - We are now working on chapter 5 which is the study of linear inequalities. This includes solving inequalities by addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. We will also solve compound inequalities as well as those involving absolute value. The end of the chapter includes graphing inequalities in two variables.
Algebra 2
Students are hard at work preparing for their first-semester final examination. After the exam, they will begin studying rational algebraic functions, the Factor Theorem, fractional equations, and the applications of variation functions.
